No! I am not asking you to convert your religion, but your bike. You can convert your normal bike to an electric, just by using an e-bike conversion kit. These kits are widely available in the market.
There are many advantages of using an e-bike. For one, you need not have a driving license. And you need not pay any road tax or insurance as an e-bike comes under the category of "bicycle". By using an e-bike, you are doing your bit to save our precious environment. As they are zero emission vehicles, they do not emit poisonous gases. And thus, they are environment friendly. And just imagine your fuel bills, there will be none!
An e-bike is an excellent way to reduce your weight by burning those extra calories. If your travelling requirements remain within the city limits, then an e-bike is an excellent way to commute.
